  5. This is so backwards I love it. Usually "labels" focus on websites and social media and merch before they even have a release. Bonus points for no pre order for a first release.

  8. A few of the more seasoned vets 'round here know Cesar (cesar11). We all know that he's a good person, an awesome friend, and personally, he's the best friend I have yet to meet. This past weekend, his mother passed away from cancer. She fought it bravely until the very end. Words can't even begin to describe the heartache I feel for Cesar and his family right now. Due to circumstances beyond any control, he is now resorting to selling off his entire record collection to help cover funeral costs. He has posted this in the Sales board: http://boards.vinylcollective.com/topic/117432-fs-whole-tradelist/ Personally, I'd rather see my friends, VCers, and anyone who appreciates music and life as much as Cesar does, donate or kick a few dollars to help him out instead of buying off his collection. It'd be more meaningful than taking away a chunk of life which music can be and is. I want to spread the word (I got Cesar's OK) and I don't see why the VC community can't pull together and help a brother out. If you want to donate direct, Cesar's PayPal is: [email protected] Here's a T-Swizzle gif now just for Cesar!

  10. I had emailed Troma about a year earlier inquiring and didn't get a response. I tried again and after getting Lloyd Kaufman he put me in touch with Jason Mchugh, who was in the movie, and handles everything Cannibal. We went back and forth a bit and worked something out!

  19. Pretty sure they just kept their BF/CM deal up an extra day.Ps. This is a prime example of why every single item that goes on sale doesn't need its own thread. Could've been put in the Non Amazon Deals thread or just bumped the last Gates thread.

  24. One time, on the night before Rex Manning day, I heard that my store was going to be consumed by a chain store. In an effort to save the store I took that day's cash to Atlantic City to try and win enough to save the store, but I lost it all. Stupid dice.

  26. I co-own a little label/art collective called Near Mint that has only released tapes so far, and have plans for more exciting tape releases in the future. However, we are also in the process of pressing our first vinyl (woo!) as we would like to be able to press both formats - This thread will only be for tape releases. You can check it out here: www.wearenearmint.com (If you see anything out of stock that you want I might have an overrun copy to spare)

  29. I wish they would just do an executive order on a ban of assualt weapons and online sale of ammunition, seriously fuck the 2nd amendment and all the dumb rednecks who would rather clean the brains of children off the wall than inhibit their ability to propel metal cylinders really fast

  41. Uhaul box. Line it with mailers. Limit by weight. Use common sense. Easy. I've done that 4 or 5 times. One of them was from 2500 miles. They're records, not nukes. You'll be fine.

  43. Enamel pins are the rage right now, and they're typically going for $10 per pin. So $20 for 3 is an ok deal. The pins themselves kind of make it a shitty deal because, let's face it, the pins aren't that interesting.

  46. I got mine yesterday and am still reeling from all the stuff... definitely an awesome haul: Awesome Mystery Box from Canada. Oddly enough this is now the 2nd copy of that Argyle Park CD that I now own. Such a great piece of Industrial history there. Made by JG Thirwell (yes the same dude who did the Venture Bros soundtrack) Either the most fun night or a very emotional night.. WHO WILL DECIDE! Also I had never heard of this Crainum game, so I'm super stoked to try it. Was super stoked to see that Skinny Puppy record. One of my favorite bands ever! Thanks It was clear my Santa was from Canada, but that's about the only clue I got. I will work on figuring out who you are Santa, I will find you, and I will virtually high five you.
