Judging the album based on a single?

Finally catching up with this whole thread finally. Holy fuck. I'm good with everything said... ...and in for If Wolves... and anything else you guys think of. In fact, here my bank account, take it all.

EWBAITE was great. Of the new songs I can't stand "Thank God For Girls", but "Do You Wanna Get High" is great and very Pinkerton-ish. So the new rumored White LP could still go either way for me. And to anyone who says they haven't been good any 20 years, fine you don't like the band move on. They have too. I would hate for any band to sound the same after 20 years. Has Weezer made clunkers, hell yeah ( I would be happy to never hear Beverly Hills again), but they have also made great new songs. Maybe the band has changed over time, maybe you have, maybe we all have. And it's ok to like different things, just no need to smear shit on anything you don't like.

But in all seriousness its bullshit how barnes and noble is handling this, especially for people like the guy who preordered in nov. this is not how you run a business

Ok kids, here's the skinny. I've emailed Dunk and he's going to run the final numbers. I do ask as a gift for one purpose only...mailers. Fees waived added up and a few coins on shipping will cover it completely. I only have a few and no one will receive a beat up used one and I'll foot the tape and bubble wrap cost; not a problem. I pack well and all will have tracking, as that's standard. If they are opened upon arrival, I'll ship them properly but if they are sealed, should I leave them sealed? I'll also add a few quarters (rough translation, not literal) to shipping also to get these mailers. Don't worry, I did some rough math and it still should be under $25 from my door to yours. If my plan goes accordingly, it'll not exceed $23. Not bad for a 2XLP gatefold from overseas. I can only PM 6 people at once with this PM service here and when it comes down to it, I'll send out waves in order of the list. (3 waves of 6 as Matt has two and I don't need to PM myself.) It'll super suck for me but we'll do numbers and paypal/shipping addresses via that. Perhaps special requests on how you want it shipped. Don't let this post overwhelm you. I need to get these thoughts down or I'll forget. It'll be an easy procedure...but like nervous parents waiting on the arrival of a new kid, the wait will be the only downfall. This was me tonight:

Exactly, this is a group buy from one label / store / site. We don't all have to get the same thing. That's the beauty of this. The whole point is to save money. So we can essentially make our own shopping list and grab a few things at a time, or maybe just one. The If Wolves repress just happens to be coming out so we're going with it. Whoever wants anything else from the label while we all grab Kokomo, go for it. That's the point. So if we're ordering from Dunk just make a list of what you want from them, we tally it all up, email Dunk, see what they can do, send people the total for their wants, and do it to it.

Built to Spill are playing Treefort Fest again this year. Here's an interesting tidbit from the announcement- "Built To Spill are hard at work on a new album and in writing mode so at this year's Treefort they'll be doing one set as a full five piece and one set as a trio that will focus on new material." I think this will be the year I finally go to Treefort. Boise is only a 4.5 hour drive, so it should be a nice little trip.

I've got loads on pre-order (Bundle 2, AOF on black, AOF/Moneen on black, Black Lungs bundle, Neverending White Lights... Possibly more). Thing is, I know these releases will be amazing quality and worth the wait. Everyone's experiencing huge delays with plants atm, and I'm sure Dine Alone will come through with fantastic products and maybe even do something awesome as a thanks/apology.

According to Earache, there is an exclusive variant going up for order tomorrow (January 15th). Don't know what time. Regular version available on Amazon etc.
