  1. Welp, I got offered the job. I'm gonna take it, and I start the 13th of next month. Fuck. Yes. It'll feel good to work a full time job again.

  2. Like Clockwork is the best thing they've ever done by far, and I do like the majority of their catalog.

  3. Too early for a new PO thread, but it looks like their next single is coming July 31st (called Head Boy Machine), which means an album will likely follow in September or October. Cannot fucking wait. Favorite band. This isn't confirmed but seems legit, also makes sense with more live dates having just been announced. Same pattern as Clockwork.

  4. Been checking his site on and off the last few months to see if these would ever pop up and they finally did. $55 for the 4x12" set. There's some options to package it with the Seasons 4x12" set to save yourself some money by bundling. A couple of signed package options also. https://merch.jonforeman.com/collections/music/products/the-wonderlands-vinyl-box-set

  5. Obviously Hot Topic has no say in QC for the stuff they order, but when the target demo is likely to never even play the record the labels tend to get pretty sloppy.

  7. Really? I absolutely loved LC, up there with their best for me. I had some issues with production on a couple of songs but that's me being nit-picky. Excited to see what a full album with Theodore sounds like. Josh never lets me down.

  8. So there are songs other than piano ballads? The few I've heard so far have all been ballads and I was wondering if it would have the diversity of Honeybear.

I've got lots of old test presses sitting around and I'd love to get them into the hands of people who' be stoked on them. I'll pick 5 winners once the bundles are sold out. *this retroactively applies to anyone who's already purchased a mystery bundle*

  21. Id like to think they are pressing a large volume because they have the equipment to do what they want and not have to ship finished records, but collectible vinyl is desirable and it would be a huge bummer if they ran out by noon.

  22. A 2017 Kscope label reissue of the brilliant third album from the duo of Jim Matheos (Fates Warning) and Kevin Moore (ex Dream Theater, Chroma Key), which featured Gavin Harrison (Porcupine Tree, King Crimson) on drums throughout. Originally released in 2009, the album includes guest performances from Mikael Akerfeldt (Opeth) on the track Stockholm and Tim Bowness (No-Man) on the hard-hitting No Celebrations. Marking its first appearance on LP, the album is available as a double 180g vinyl release in gatefold cover. Pre-order for 7th April release. https://www.burningshed.com/store/osi/product/46/8506/

  38. I was able to hear an early download last month and I think it's excellent. It’s more sincere than anything Yoni has done before as Why? and, in my opinion, it’s his best work as a composer/songwriter. The clever wordplay and funny references are mostly gone and the pace is much slower but it does an incredible job of building tension, crafting a cohesive theme and mood, and bursting the tension at the right time. Some moments feel cinematic, like the score from an indie dramedy movie or show. I was a bit confused for the first 2-3 listens but then it clicked once I understood that this isn’t a witty Why? album with quirky beats/percussion. It’s a solid piece of sincere music.
