Got my box in from DWRC today and this album is just blowing my mind. Packaging is fantastic and the booklet is a really nice touch. Was extremely, extremely fortunate to be given a Friends and Family variant so many thanks to the Deathwish crew and Jake or whoever determines who is lucky enough to be gifted one of these gems! Pretty good. My clear copy sounds great at least. I think I was just hoping for some more progression from the last album to this one, especially after the calls of AOTY in this thread. Solid album, but I think it got overhyped for me and I was expecting too much. I think that Sprained Ankle seems raw, and honest, and this album comes off more as kind of...whiny? It just doesn't have the same urgency, or pleading tone.

Those prices are bullshit (for everyone who bought them off of the store).

I may love films. But I do not love these prices. I'll wait a year and buy a standard cyan copy for cheaper.

This record seems to be second only to the Plain pressing of Loveless in the ranking of Pressings That Dorks On The Internet Love To Complain About Unprompted. I play my copy semi-regularly, and yeah, there's a little more surface noise than average, but come on, people. Seems like one of those things that probably originated as a single post on r/vinyl and nerds everywhere decided that it was their opinion, too.

I have the regular pressing and never had any issues with it. Sure, probably not the greatest sounding record I own, but definitely no defects or artifacts. If this reissue has issues I doubt you'll have any trouble selling it to someone else.

Finally got this in hand. Previous poster was right in that it is slightly quieter than most, I turned my master volume up about a notch higher than usual. But, in this case it's a great thing. It's clear there isn't a whole lot of dynamic compression, and no crazy gain limiting. The drums are very punchy, surprisingly so at times. Wide sound stage. Thick in all the right places. 'It's been a lot of fun rebuilding this record at Abbey Road from the unlabelled original tapes. Frank Arkright has done a wonderful job. We hope you can hear the new found air, space and definition in this new version. Not to mention the BALLS.' - Nailed it. Especially for how affordable this was, it's a very satisfying purchase. I hope we see this done to subsequent albums, of which I still don't have any on vinyl.

Amazon.it had the extra deluxe as $50. I’m guessing it’s about that. Especially if that BM listing at $35 is a standard LP. $15 more for a CD and some inserts seems reasonable to hit a $50 price tag.

I also thought it would be limited to one per person but it was the mess at the merchandise stand and so most people would send a person to buy for others. we were a small group and it was me who bought for all my friends.

Same here. My copy sounds fine. Definitely not one.of my best sounding records, but it seems to fit the sound of the overall album quite well.

The show at the AB in Bruxelles tonight was very very impressive, literally memorable. The Mass VI special edition /300 sold out after 30 mins or so since the doors were opened and was at 40€. I saw several people going away from the merchtable with 3/4/5 copies. I'm so happy I managed to get one, the whole package is so nice.

Got my Final Dossier in the mail today from Amazon. After a brief flip through looking for buzzwords, I think that this book will hold a lot of "final" answers. Hopefully, it'll tie up some loose ends from The Return. I could totally be wrong though. So, don't hold me accountable if this book just bamboozles everyone further, and I got your hopes up.
