  14. So I attempted to wait for the second package, but it hasn't arrived yet. I went ahead and opened what was labeled Package 1/2. This alone would be enough to make me happy! My Santa got me the Deathly Hallows Part 1 Soundtrack AND Pinkerton! Unfortunately, all I have to go on as to WHO my Santa is is their location. However, I have expert snooping skills and I'm 99% sure I know who it is. I'll wait to see if a second package shows up first though. Either way... THANK YOU!

  15. So I got a message yesterday from @themeconspiracy that my Secret Santa sender had an envelope hidden in my package that I missed when I initially opened it. I opened it today and it's two tickets to see The Early November on The Mother, The Mechanic and The Path 10 year tour at Union Transfer in Philadelphia on January 14th! I'm super appreciative of such a thoughtful gift, I got to see them play on the Rooms Too Cold tour a couple years ago and they were great! However, I won't be in town on January 14th unfortunately. It's my birthday weekend and I already booked a trip to go to Pittsburgh with some friends for the weekend and celebrate. But I want to pay it forward and I'd love to pass the tickets along (it probably goes without saying but obviously for free!) to somebody who would like to go to the show! So if anybody reading this is interested in going to see The Early November on January 14th in Philly please send me a message and let me know. I just want somebody to go and have the great time that I wish I could have if I could make it. Thank you so much secret santa, my package is absolutely wonderful! I'm sad I won't be able to make it to the show but I will absolutely make sure that somebody else gets to enjoy the incredibly thoughtful gift. <3 EDIT: Found somebody to use the tickets! Thanks @Snaggle Von Swift!

  17. WarHen Records WarHen is a one-man, DIY/word-of-mouth Virginia label that's been releasing records since 2012. So far I've put out 16 records, and have two more scheduled for this year. I release whatever I want, so in theory there should be something for everyone . LPs, 7"s, lathes, t-shirts, hats, tote bags. Trying to make room for some new stuff in 2017. Some records are sold out, a bunch aren't. Some releases have cool screen printed covers, hand-stamped labels, etc... People who like heavier/psychier/pop punkier type stuff will enjoy Left & Right, Zack Mexico, Dwight Howard Johnson. Indie fans will like New Boss, Dead Professional, Borrowed Beams of Light. Alt Country/Americana fans will like Dexateens, Wrinkle Neck Mules Thanks for looking & listening. IG/Twitter/FB - @warhenrecords

PO Now Run The Jewels 3

Completely agree. I only put in one listen the night it was released, so far, but I'm looking forward to getting accustomed to the digital copy at work tomorrow and seeing how the album grows on me as a whole. I agree that it's a lot more mature in sound, overall; for better or worse, there are a lot less lines about running backwards through a field of dicks, having your dick in her mouth all night, etc. Not to say there aren't a few amusing lines here and there, but all in all I'd describe the album as a lot more "dense" in both style and substance. What I enjoy about that, in particular, is that it very much feels like another chapter and expansion to their sound vs. a clone of RTJ or RTJ2. It's really early to gauge anything too confidently, but first impressions have me thinking that it's a welcome addition to their sound. One that I'm happy turned out the way it did.

  19. The family-incest angle is both very sophisticated and edgy, I've got to say. When I see that dished out in an argument, I tend to step down immediately since there's a good chance we're barking up the tree of a certifiable badass.

  20. Hot Topic said there were no plans at this time according to twitter. Travis did say it was still in the works, but with all these delays I doubt it's on their near-future radar

  23. I saw them like 3-4 times between 05-08. They opened for Thursday twice, I think, and they opened for Circa Survive on their On Letting Go tour. They were definitely fun live. I can think of at least 4 other shows they played that I didn't go to though. They were always playing here. I helped some band called The Blackout Pact jump their van down the street from the venue so they guestlisted me for the Chiodos/FBTMOF show they were opening but I didn't go.

  24. I got my fun thing early cause they accidentally activated it and bricked my old phone. I still haven't got used to the idea my phone isn't a slow piece of crap and I can actually download apps and use it as more than a gps/text device. Got some gift certificates I can buy records with, already used the amazon one and used my mom's prime account got the "new" Mike Watt "Ring Spiel" tour double live album that just came out for under $11 and Bad Brains s/t for $15 it was time to reacquire especially after watching the doc recently. My sister got me these record frames you can pop out easily to play, so I need to decide what 3 to frame

  28. Price for the GAS box dropped to $130 Prime on Amazon. Still shows as out of stock, but they'll have copies once it's repressed I'd assume. If not sooner.

  30. Nice, that sounds like a solid setup. What kind of effort is required to set up a server? I have about 10 TB of storage but it's spread across 3 or 4 devices. What sort of headphones or speakers are you playing your files on? And are you using a DAC or amp? That's where FLAC shines. But even without one and on average speakers, I can hear a bit of a difference between the two. Especially on anything with vocals.

  31. I purchased both, I have been searching for this for a while and have almost spent 150$ on this multiple times. Also I was ripped off by that asshole HOMEWORK on the boards here for 100$ for this. Finally I get a copy!

  32. I remember when Virgil was practically giving these away. Wish I bought an OG when they were like $5 Anyways, purchased because even though I was never super into them I recently remembered that My Fucking Deer Hunter is one of the best god damn songs. Has anyone repressed Art Damage on NOT a fucking picture disc yet?

  43. Hello THE_James_Champ, Have you meet people in the world today? If yes then I think you just answered your own question. Also, most new records are going to cost $30-$40 at your local mom and pop shop, add tax to the mix and you are easily above the $80 mark. Thanks for your comment. Hello Brock N Roll, Most does not mean everyone. Good to see another fellow with carpenter skills. Thanks for your comment. Hello stl_ben, Most people are not capable some of the things you find to be simple. If you buy 2 new records from your local mom and pop shop at about $30-$40 each plus tax then you would easily be above the $80 price mark. Most record collections are materialistic, a one or two listen and then done. I was thought this was a group of people who appreciated vinyl. Thanks for your comment. Hello rds, Mocking me? I am just trying to sell something that I don't have the space for since I had to move into my friends closet until my Jamaican lotto winnings get transferred to the states. I quit my job after winning and had to pay the transfer fees upfront which cleared out the bank so now down on my luck with the transfer keep getting delayed, I do not need the mocking. But thanks for your comment. Hello [Banned User], I could of used you many years ago when I bought this. Thanks for your comment. Hello EGsynergy, I just lowered the price to $50 so I am losing a lot now so no one is being ripped off. Opposite with this deal now in fact. I am professional because I worked in the customer service department of e-mail support for years so it becomes a habit that is unbreakable. Thanks for your comment. Hello everyone, Wow what a response in the week I have been gone. I will try to get on the pc more often then once a week and talk to you all more. In the Christmas spirit I lowered the price to about half of what I paid so someone gets happy Christmas this year. Thanks for all the comments. .
