So I'm only on episode 3, not sure what I just bought but whatevs

I forget where I heard this...but always remember "this too shall pass." That's for the good and the bad. My daughter is six now...my little ginger girl heated up her own pizza in the microwave the other week. She helps me cook. She plays sports. She can flip the records, turn on the TV, plays on her iPad and her Kindle (yes she has both.)... When your kid is a baby, they imprint on you. Due to unforeseen circumstances, I had to do a lot more for the little one than expected. It took a toll on me, but she's daddy's girl. Remember this too...even when they're 1, 2, etc...they're far more perceptive than you think. There was a six month period when mine didn't ever want to play with me because I was in a bad headspace and I wasn't nice. As daddy, you're never allowed to be too tired or too sick...and you should never want to be. I'm rambling now...I know.

So, I'm going to be a father in just a few weeks. It's my first time being a biological parent (I have an ex with a kid who's like 22 now...long story). Anyway, I'm genuinely seeking advice from millennial types like myself who know what it's like to be a parent for the first time. I don't really know what to expect. All I know is he's a male and he'll have a killer onesie collection (so far we have "Appetite for Destruction" GNR, Bowie, and Bob Marley-still working on some of the punk ones). So, hit me, what do you have for guidance, advice, etc?

Someone posted on /r/NIN there are individual blocks of black on there, so there are actually a set number of letters blacked out. The first word is 3 letters, second is 8. Could be the 2nd EP as it should drop within a couple of weeks.

The sound issues were most likely shitty test pressings. There might be compressing on the digital files, but they're not brick walled. I've been listening to the ALAC versions and there is a ton of fidelity and depth to the tracks.

It was a pleasant surprise to see Quake pop up on the webstore. That was one of the most important video games growing up for me. One of my favorite aspects of the game was seeing the ammo packs for the Nailgun branded with the NIN logo, of course.

I listened to the new album a couple of times this weekend and I like it a lot, but the minimal vocals hold it back in a big way for me. The fact that I'm still looking to buy the LP is a testament to how good the music is, though.

as has been discussed there is absolutely no "bad audio fidelity" on the cure pic discs. they actually are some of the best sounding records I own. i would imagine you are basing your perspective on pic disc stereotypes and not actually listening to these specific ones. so maybe don't do that, because it really does no service to anyone to make claims based on something you have never actually heard.

It's superb, and the price point isn't awful considering it's half speed mastered at abbey road. A single lp mofi runs $35, I look at it for $5 more you get the outtakes lp, extensive linear notes and all the packaging is reproduced except double gatefold and 2 blood sleeves this time, as well as 2 polylined inners. This week my "Fuck Donald Trump" sticker has gotten the most attention since the week of the primaries when I got a "HES THE ONLY ONE WHO WILL STOP MUSLIMS FROM CUTTING PFF THE HEADS OF CHRISTIAN CHILDREN!" and a car full of elderly folks hooting and hollering giving me the thumbs up. Dude at the mall aggressively tried to sell me some weed after being like "Fuck yeah! Fuck that piece of shit!" I politely declined (as I generally buy much more than a 20 bag and not from a random ass dude). But it was further proof to what I always tell people: if you can't find weed, ask literally anyone who works back of house at a restaurant. Because he was definitely a line cook.

This album is gargantuan and I haven't had the time to fully digest it all. I'm loving repeat listens but man I can't always dedicate the time to it. I think it will go down as a classic for me once I can take it all in.

let's be real people who buy ETR releases don't have a real turntable and trick themselves into thinking the colorization of their card makes it sound better than an mp3. Like an album cheaply recorded to digital and then throwing it back into analog is going to make it sound great, in fact 95% of music on vinyl from the 90s forward isn't going to sound much better due to the recording limitations. I admit when I'm buying a modern record a lot of it doesn't have to do with some false sense of a superior sound quality, and most has to do with my preferred format and supporting artists/labels I like

I have long dreamed of winning the lottery, buying the entire Jason Martin catalog back from Universal, and reissuing everything. I once even made a spreadsheet to figure out the side breakdown for the B-sides & rarities 4xLP I would make. Huh, now that I type that out, it almost seems kind of pathetic.

Not rare or obscure but finally scored a decent original of Sly & The Family Stone "There's A Riot Goin' On" for a fiver, what a great album. always overpriced when I see it, so I couldn't say no when I saw it and the price, it's a little crispy but it's a solid VG almost VG+ copy

why don't you tell us how you really feel? haha. we knew the box set wouldn't be for everyone, which is why we created less than 300 and have the standard edition for $24.98. the box set is for dorks like me who want something extra from one of their favorite films. we worked hard on creating fun items that are all directly related to the script.. including a few that i think/hope (?) fans will get actual use out of or at least really appreciate the attention to detail on. that aside, a 5 piece set of enamel pins, getting one of the actors on board, paying artists, housing everything inside a custom gold foil box.. it was the most expensive project I've ever worked on, including my other label that is on cat #62 this year. to each their own, we appreciate you picking up the standard edition!

Supporting skateboarding by buying real brands is super important. Your shop wants you to buy the bigger brands, trust me. I still skate, collect boards, and support the shit out of my local shop. In the end, buying anything from a local shop is the main priority, but buying bigger brands ensures that you're spreading money to all the tiny moving parts that is the skateboard industry. I was pretty devastated when Alien Workshop/Habitat closed shop and I'd like to keep shit like that from happening as much as I can.
