Holy shit dude. Yeah I like the Replacements too, but maybe pump the brakes on the hero worship.

Shows were all excellent. I think they played the best Friday night, but preferred the crowd on Thursday night better. Saturday night was great, but what was really exceptional for that night was they played Smaller Chairs for the encore! Felt like I was back in 2001 again, except I'm pretty old and have completely given up on life.

Yeah I'm the same I listen to music all the time but to be able to fully explore 30+ albums from the same 12 month period is nigh on impossible for me... I do listen to a lot of extreme metal that has hour plus albums and songs lengths to match which I'm sure is sometimes harder to digest than other genres... Not trying to have a go at anyone just posing the question

Mine was a top 37 because that’s how many I legit enjoyed (more than half of each album) & gave multiple listens to. I probably listened to 50 total but the others had 1-2 songs max I liked.

It will be interesting to see what the first item(s) will be. There are about 875+ followers on the SDPS Instagram. Assuming that the vast majority of those are paid subscribers ($20 before shipping), that means they would have about $17K to spend per month. That’s more than enough to, say, press up an LP or even just a 7” with a couple of unreleased tracks.

I believe FiteTV is an app. I haven't used it personally, but I'm pretty sure it's a combat sports streaming app with live programming, Glad to see this thread get revived a little bit. Very excited for AEW. NXT UK TakeOver was incredible, NXT continues to be fantastic. WWE claims to be entering a new era. The indies have more attention than ever. It's great. Wish I had time to keep up with everything. I'm limiting myself to watching NXT and NXT UK now, with AEW to be included. Haven't watched a Progress, ROH, or Evolve show in a long time unfortunately; I used to be a regular viewer. Just follow those on social media/dirt sheets now...

Update from SDPS, Laura emailed me earlier. " Originally the first package for SDPS was suppose to be sent out this week. However, there are being postponed to next week since we are waiting on the personalized letters to arrive from the band. Be on the lookout next week for the shipping email. "

Can’t believe it’s finally happened. Price seems stellar as usual from Numero, considering the contents. Really pleased that they’re not simple reissues, but that some love and care appear to be going into this with the book and extras housed in a boxset. What a nice surprise.

I can imagine he’s joining AEW and probably still working with NJPW. Apparently The Bucks and Cody were offered huge money and creative control had they signed with WWE which is unheard of these days. It was such a strong deal that The Bucks were offered as part of the deal that they could terminate their deals within 6 months if they didn’t enjoy it. Hangman Page was apparently offered a 6 figure sum and was immediately going to be placed in the NXT title picture. Mad that they turned down those deals but very much looking forward to AEW.

This is me exactly. Those first EPs were so huge to me, I just can't let go. I'll buy into anything they/he releases on the off chance they/he can capture some of that magic again.

Was hoping the lineup changes and a break from touring would have recharged his writing a bit but a covers EP doesn't really inspire much confidence. I still consider the first two EPs among the best music of the last ten years. But pretty sure those were a fluke, unfortunately. I liked LP1 but by the second, I felt like he was just writing Mad Libs. I don't know how many more times I can hear the same four chords and the words drunk, young, wild, and loud interchanged for ten songs straight. Still kills it live though.

This band went downhill so badly and so fast... it's sad. Can't believe anyone can handle James' personality. Probably noone.
