Nah no conspiracy. Quantity per order became limited when we saw a couple of unusually high number of box sets being ordered by one person. Wanted to make sure real fans could buy them and not just some guy w/ an online store who wants to try to flip them for a profit once they sold out.12 points

Happy Birthday Brian! Enjoy the new Owen for me AP scores came out for the west coast today, but if you used a VPN, you can get them anywhere. I'm kinda upset that I only got a 4 on English, I thought it would be a 5, and furthermore, I got a 3 on Physics and thought I'd get a 4. Calculus BC ended up being a perfect 5 though, which I'm shocked by, because when we took practice exams, I got a 1. Also, our school is running an initiative that grants $100 to each 3-or-higher, so I made $300 off of it, which is pretty cool. Maybe I'll use it to buy those headphones you recommended, @Thomas³ / @Dave Grohl.5 points -

There is a reason why Cal doesn't tour anymore, and it's because the band found out he likes Phish... Anyway, this is all hearsay until I hear it from a direct source. After all, this is coming from the jam fan that tries to get us to group buy records in EU for $40 when they are already in the states, uses analogies about drug dealers to describe an album, wants Caspian to play for an entire day straight, and has used the exclamation point so often that it has lost all meaning. Something smells phishy to me. "Phish is a band... Caspian is a band... they're pretty much the same." I'm still over here laughing about the non-conformist t-shirt statement. In all seriousness, if Caspian worshiped Phish, it wouldn't change my opinion on them or Phish. I couldn't care either way. At the end of the day I'm listening to Caspian, and not jam music. Haha.2 points -

I think I also forget you're not a lyric guy much. Clearly my favorite part of Owen songs most of the time. As a guitar player his songs are pretty cool to learn to experiment with alternate tunings. Anyyways..this record is dope. And coming to me at a great time in life. As most Owen albums do.2 points -

Yeah its just weird, because some things like this, which are in my Wantlist, I don't get notifications for. But other things, I'll get the message.... and the item will then be already gone when I click on the link. In other news, I have a very funny story for you all. Especially Matt. This is totally true. So, I went to see Phish twice at Saratoga Performing Arts Center, a huge awesome amphitheater in Saratoga that is inside a massive awesome park. It's so cool. Anyway, on Saturday I wore my Caspian shirt. I always wear oddball shirts to events to A) be non-conformist, and 2) to see who else is into this stuff. Like, I wore a Morbid Angel shirt when I went and saw Dead & Company a couple weeks ago. Anyway, so my friends and I are walking around the lot where people are selling their wares and food-stuffs, and some dude comes up to me and is like "DUDE, CASPIAN!" We get talking, and he's like "I've seen Caspian 35 times, it's the only band I've seen more than Phish." Turns out, this dude is friends with Erin, who got married this weekend. They grew up together or something. We start talking, and I tell him that I like Caspian because to me, they do in songwriting form what Phish does with their jams. And it turns out that Cal annddddd fuck, I can't remember which other member he mentioned, are big Phish fans. And that some of the music that Cal wrote, like "Some Are White Light" are meant to represent what they feel during big peak climaxes of Phish jams. They're supposed to have the same grand, sweeping movement and development and ecstatic release feeling. I know this dude wasn't fucking around, because he said "Cal, you know... the dude who doesn't tour with them anymore." So..... Caspian.... jamband.... it's not a stretch. Kinda hilarious.2 points -

Happy Birthday Brian! It's been nice with the family but I don't think I want to live in the St. Louis area, too many stand offish people and not really my crowd, Columbia is pretty ideal if I move to this state. Today was cool though went to Pinckney Bend distillery in New Haven they make one of my favorite Gins. For $5 I got to taste 6 different whiskeys, vodkas and gins and have a gin & tonic and take home a souvenir glass and take a tour, what a value! Of course I had to take home a bottle of gin and this amazing apple whiskey, I don't like sweet flavored alcohols but this was to die for.1 point -

Saw the band this past weekend. Fantastic show. They sounded great and were loud and just felt so comforting. Got a chance to talk to Nicky and Kyle for a bit afterwards and they were super-friendly and courteous. They were all sold out of the tour poster. Bummer. But picked up the tour color of ToT instead.1 point

I was just going to post the same. God damn, that movie was so good. The writing was absolutely incredible. I was already so invested in the characters so early on. They did an amazing job of getting me so sucked in so early on knowing later that all hell was going to break lose. Everything was executed (pun intended) so well, the score helped drive the intensity, and everything was building up till the end. I was yelling "fuck!", "NO!", and had moments of pure silence. The music references were amazing. I mean, how could I not like a movie where there is a Nothing and Fugazi sticker on the van, and the lead is wearing a Minor Threat shirt. 10/10 for me. Wasn't too short, or too long. It didn't have any scenes that didn't serve a purpose. The only qualm I had was the audio levels at times. Other than that, the movie was perfect.1 point -

Can someone help me value these records?
jackshidt reacted to sillybarry for a topic
Your 2 best tools are website Discogs & popsike. Remember condition is always key. Both look and sound are considered when you try to value vinyl. Penny Lane: https://www.discogs.com/Beatles-Strawberry-Fields-Forever-Penny-Lane/release/6249151 If The Penny Lane is the 7" it looks like this link might be it. If it is $20 seems to be the fair market value on both websites. It is not that common. Sgt. Pepper: https://www.discogs.com/search/?q=beatles+pepper+picture&=&type=all There have been several pressings of the Sgt Pepper album in Pic disc format. Look for specific numbers etched into the inner rim or printed on the record to identify the correct one. The average would most likely be in the $20-$25 range but once again condition is key. Now the prices above are the estimated "value". They are truly worth whatever someone pays for them. eBay would be your best bet and you would most likely get somewhere between $5-$25 each. Hope that helps1 point -
