Rogue package update: I finally have my copy! Apparently it was delivered to a doorstep of a house where nobody lived, so a neighbor brought the package to the post office knowing it must be for someone else. I'm glad to have the records, but I'm more excited about the good samaritan who restored my faith in humanity a bit.2 points -

The test press is either limited to 200 or 600. Since they have 3 different test press bundles up for $225 listing it as limited to 200. So it’s basically a white labeled limited black pressing.2 points

This happen to me one time with a record I ordered off discogs. I live on Hilltowne Dr and apparently there's a Hillpark Dr across town? After causing enough fuss at the post office, the worker shadily told me they were able to see in their system and that it was delivered to that address. The person at the post office on the sellers end fucked up and punched in the info wrong, the buyer wrote out my correct address but the label was wrong lol. The post office told me they were going to try to recover it from the wrong person and if not I would have to file paper work and a claim. I immediately punched that address in my GPS and went and took it off their front porch.2 points

Awesome Space Nebula vinyl effect
IndigoHollow reacted to moonbeams for a topic
Hi, I'm Michael from Goodcyte Records in Tokyo. We do instrumental 7"s. These records were pressed yesterday by Packaged Sounds in the UK. We aimed for a SPACE NEBULA effect, achieved by combining extruded purple with extruded red (or green/blue), add clear & white splatter for nebula clouding, then finally silver glitter for stars. I've never seen records like these before. Pre-order here, ships next week (dreamy instrumental stuff, A-side is surf punk + brass section + synth, B-side is prog rock): https://deeperblue.bandcamp.com/album/oneironautics-i Here's the cover art (foldover 2-sided): Here's the Red Nebula (70 pressed) This one has many stars. You can see some white splatter: Here's the Blue Nebula (170 pressed): Here's a transition after another EP I had pressed: Bonus section Here's some more records Packaged Sounds did, but ordering info will be posted when they get in stock. Only 30 copies of the splatter:1 point -

Oh, I’m not sure at all. I just figure they allotted 2000 to all of the bundles as well as the standalone vinyl option, and they’ll take down all those bundles when the vinyl sells out through any of the options. I didn’t see limit numbers on the other merch items (nor did I look). 480 left!1 point -

OneThreeOneTwo reacted to Alan P for a topic
Pumped for this album! I just watched the YouTube premiere of the new song "Last Man on Earth" and quite honestly, I was mind-blown. I love their music, but the song was so much better than I could have imagined. I actually ranked "My Love is Cool" as my #1 album of the 2010-2019 decade. Definitely going to pre-order, it just a matter of where and how. With an album title of "Blue Weekend" I definitely want a blue variant, but the $42.99 in the US Rough Trade store is silly (don't need a bonus CD). I did find it for $20.97 on BullMoose, but assuming that is standard black: https://www.bullmoose.com/p/34959604/wolf-alice-blue-weekend1 point -

I gotta say I think Homestar Runner still holds up as much as anything. I think it helps that they never relied on reference-based humor (well, current references anyway) or crudeness (nothing at all against crudeness, it just doesn't age well. Don't see a lot of nostalgia being expressed for Happy Tree Friends). They're just weird little cartoon people executing a very specific brand of humor. And they do put out new stuff every so often - probably 2-3 toons a year plus random side project things like the Trogdor board game. They just put out a DOS game play-along video with puppet Strong Bad two weeks ago:1 point

My classroom has a solid chunk of my prints. I don't know how to post the pictures without too much effort. Also, to join the ranking discussion, the post-Hot Damn! era, while still good music, is the low point for ETID. There's good and great songs in there, but the overall sound was on the more boring side. This makes sense, as my buddy who grew up with the Buckleys said Ratboy was a drag on everything. He stopped caring on NJA and that's when they started pushing their sound in different directions again, then he was out of the band and they went nuts. LNIT is great for what it is, and Hot Damn! is classic, but Ex-Lives was excellent, outdone by From Parts Unknown, topped again by Low Teens.1 point

Coming out of message board retirement just to say that if you haven't seen an ETID Christmas show, you're missing out. Being from Buffalo and being big into ETID since 2003, I've managed to hit at least one night every year since they started these in 2006 or 2007 or whenever. Best concert of the year. The last two were unbelievable, especially 2019's 2-night version.1 point
