RIP. I loved this label and couldn't agree more about Dom. He got helped me discover a lot of great music over the years. I haven't bought much recently aside from the new Integrity album variant they had and Pulling Teeth reissues since I cleaned up on the couple sales they did. I can't say I am mad he is focusing more on his music though - the last Integrity album and the new ILSA record rule.

I'm going to agree with everyone. After the first listen, I'm not super impressed. The second half of the album was slow anyways, so this is just like "what if we took this acoustic song and wrote is slightly different". Then all the fast songs at the front end of the album also got slowed down. But I mean they're going on Hiatus and I have every release from them so it's the least I can do to support them.

I mean I just kinda have fun with it. Gives me an excuse to dedicate a whole day to doing music shit and I get to hang with a bunch of like minded people. I hate RSD shenanigans and the official shit behind it and wish it would just be those releases put back into standard print, but regardless of my irritation with the corporate fuckery I still have fun. Bonus points when my favorite shops put out cool used stuff that they've been holding back.

I have no problem with the label, I agree this isn’t a scam - the guy obviously has pressed records and is fulfilling orders, he just is A ) lazy as fuck and B ) not a good businessperson. What gets my goat is the balls the guy has in places like Reddit. Like, it’s one thing to suck as a person but then do you have to also be a comic book villain on top of that and just be an ass to people, troll and insult former/current customers?

I'm really surprised more people don't value their time/sleep over paying up for something on ebay/discogs at this point. especially since most RSD things come down after a few weeks on the aftermarket.

Good read. This dude fucked up. He is overwhelmed and clearly not properly organized. He went into this unprepared and got walloped by pressing plant issues, PayPal (not once but twice), and being understaffed/funded. To top it all off he is not an optimal communicator. His not frequent enough updates too often include details from the perspective of the label and don't explain the path moving forward with clarity for the customer. That said, a bunch of people have gotten records. And he's given uncontested refunds from the start. This isn't a scam. VC knows scams. VC buys from scammers on the regular. That narrative is willfully ignorant. Dude is trying to sell all of his copies before someone else's rights kick in and he's up the creek. That's a bad look for someone who still has outstanding orders from August. Cancel and refund or sit and wait. Either way, folks will get their money or their record(s). I wouldn't blame anyone for never giving this dude another dollar, but this forum has happily waited longer for less.

P.S. - I spoke to Timeslave about potential future vapor-releases they might be doing and they confirmed with me that this is coming down the pipeline for a vinyl pressing. Some good future funk! My clear copy of Deadwing arrived last week, sounds great, and I'm so pleased to finally own it. Anyone got digital versions of So Called Friend and Half-Light from Deadwing? Love them and would like to listen to them elsewhere! Half-Light is especially good...

Yeah, all Hayden social media has made it hard to miss so I'm surprised anyone who'd want this album could miss out. You shouldn't worry though, it took a while for the preorder to sell out, so I assume it shouldn't be too hard to order from the site on release day. Just make sure you visit the site early EST on the 9th.
