Well, also if you ordered 3 records, you should technically get 3 pins. It's just ridiculous that they've mishandled two orders in four different ways in under a month just for me. I like die cast pins and patches for my jacket, so those are the biggest "extras" I really care about. If it were a poster or something I wouldn't really care.

I rate him way more highly than other "pop alt-country" like Fleet Foxes or Mumford and Sons. I compare him to Phosphorescent more.

My UO clear arrived today. Double boxed. Stoked.

They're at 45rpm and sound even better than they do on the LP. I just found it odd you were annoyed they were less than 4 minutes. Don't see how a different mix would have lengthened the songs.

No ticking for me either. Sucks to suck. It was only my second time listening to the album but I didn't have any problem with the mastering either.

Woowee, $150-175. . I want this, but besides the price tag, getting through a 7xLP would be tough. My GAS box is 7xLP, but I can only get through an album at a time. And my girlfriend probably wouldn't ever let me spin this anyway. Same reason I don't own any other Prurient on vinyl.

Update on the vinyl from their newest email. Updated estimate of November 21st. We're getting a compilation cd out of it, so that's neat.

Nonagon Infinity straight up shreds, too. It's probably my favorite Gizzard album.

He sounds like he's taking a page from L. Ron Hubbard's playbook and creating an empire built around pseudo-science and man's incessant need for there to be more to existence (and their willingness to pay money to confirm it). I don't see any overt religious angles, which is likely a 21st century update to the business model, but this feels very much like a way to make a ton of dough. When he builds that room that bends space and time and he tours the bodies of the 1948 aliens, I will take this all back.

I think it's really exciting and fascinating. His ambition is inspiring.

If you are expecting anything more than an entertainment company your expectations are too high high. He will continue to release books and movies, but the space travel does not seem likely. I would consider him ambitious rather than crazy.

Final Dossier is out tomorrow. Very excited to read this.

Why? It was a critically acclaimed album pretty much instantly on release, it’s always been well regarded.

After binge watching new season of stranger things, and now flipping on new episode of walking dead im not entertained. show is so slow and repetitive.

Seriously though, it's way better than the single that came out before this one. And to me is on par with anything from 13th Step (which is my fave from APC).

So, this is a thing now. And this is an even more special thing.

Actually, your logic does stand to reason but in this piecemeal economy and the relatively tiny industry of vinyl pressing, there are times when pressing plant orders are so pushed to the date of title release that if they can't get the full array of colorways completely pressed and in the hands of the label, they'll actually ship partial orders to their destination. So if one outlet is exclusively selling colors A and B and another outlet has C and D exclusives but only colors A and B are finished pressing (as it makes sense that the full quantity of a given color will likely be completed at press before another color is begun) and in the hands of the label at release time, those who ordered from the outlet selling colorways C and D experience a delay. Or it could be all sold at one outlet and if the color you purchased isn't in their hands due to pressing delays, you'll experience that delay. Its the type of thing that shouldn't happen but as I said in the current landscape of rising vinyl demand and a relatively static and low-resource pressing industry, delays still happen sometimes even just between variants. Something like this happened with Deafheaven's New Bermuda if I remember correctly.
