  1. How were you a massive fan of the Bends and then never checked out the insanely praised followup?

  3. The plot thickens over at ETS...people have been getting their copies beat to shit. Badly. Considering these got packed in a simple-ass LP mailer with little to no padding, it is not surprising that they're arriving damaged. Also...anyone justifying and defending the price tag of $80 for a 4xLP crammed in a normal gatefold, is completely delusional. Knowing and seeing that there are 4xLP & more released in better and nicer packaging and presentation for sometimes less than $80 puts this release in a greater light as to the lack of foresight and maybe even rushed release. And yes, I am a hardcore NIN fan for 28 years and going and will generally buy anything and everything that Reznor puts out...but at the same time I gotta call them like I see them and of course have a common sense of where my money goes and how I spend it and its worth in said purchase.

  8. Haha, been hoping to keep it hush since it's supposedly /300, didn't want to worry too hard about securing a copy but reckon the announcement is just round the corner. RT removed the image from their site but it looked pretty neat.

  9. Quoting myself since a lot of you probably missed it. Don't miss out on those two records! But mainly came to post this - New Ufomammut up for pre-orders. Shipping in sept. Ltd /500 with alternate screenprinted cover and on red wax. Anyone remember how long Ecate's LTD edition lasted for? Would love to get it this time around but shipping even through Europe is quite high. I reckon I'll regret not dishing out the 50$ for something that will run at least twice after it's sold out. By the sounds of the two singles so far, I've got a feeling this record will blow their previous one (which I quite enjoyed but didn't get have much replay value to me) out of the water. Am also personally more into the aesthetic of this release. https://neurotrecordings.merchtable.com/music/pre-order-ufomammut-8-ltd-lp-lp-cd-digi-ships-the-week-of-september-22-2017

  10. Ok, let's get the betting going: 2-1 odds: All shipments are mysteriously lost in the mail. 5-1 odds: Last minute review of vinyl showed previously unheard pressing faults, back to the drawing board. 10-1 odds: Hurricane ravages the Eastern seaboard, destroying all contents of Peppermint Daydream HQ. 100-1 odds: He admits it was all a scam, stops email blasting. 1000-1 odds: Anyone gets the records.

  19. Thanks for everyone's patience with the Peasant pre-orders. Lot's going on over here, many things to juggle and only 2 hands. I'm going to keep this short and sweet so let's get into it! Before THOU released their 2014 Gambit Big Easy Award winning, Summit, they spent the spring of 2008 rushing to complete their second full-length, Peasant, in time for a month and a half trek across the United States. This record would be their last true album to abandon melody for the self indulgent, “Southern” styled riffing that had most of their early fans saying, “I thought you’d be bigger with more tattoos and beards.” Originally released on vinyl by Level Plane Records, this edition has been remastered by Adam Tucker (Signature Tone Recording) and housed in a tip-on style gatefold jacket with 180gram black vinyl and a 20 page booklet. This double LP also offers the complete version, including the CD-only tracks from the To Carry a Stone EP (released in 2008 by Noxious Noize) as well as bonus tracks from the Malfeasance/Retribution EP (released in 2008 on Feast of Tentacles and Rimbaud) and an unreleased cover of "Aneurysm." There are a limited number of copies that include a 9x3 screen printed cloth patch. These are only available through Robotic Empire and the band on tour. Thou will have their copies of Peasant starting on July 16th. In addition to the re-issue we've printed up some fancy new T-shirts just for the Peasant release. I have to say, I've been waiting a long time to print this shirt, one of my favorite images and I hope you guys like it too. Printed on Bella Canvas shirts, made in the USA, there are sizes from Youth Large to Extra Large. I'm expecting to have the Peasant albums in hand around the second week of July. Once those arrive I'll be packing and shipping ASAP. Official release date is July 28th. https://www.roboticempire.com/store/index.php?main_page=advanced_search_result&search_in_description=1&zenid=1369jpn4shapq2icbjp63ened4&keyword=thou+-+peasant - Order Thou's Peasant here Please be sure to get out and see these guys play! 20. Secret Samadhi was great, and damn near perfect. Throwing Copper and Mental Jewelry were both very good, but everything after Samadhi took a deep nose dive. A few decent tracks here and there. I still really enjoy the deep cuts on MJ. Wish the Four Songs tracks would have made this vinyl version. Heaven Wore A Shirt FTW

  21. I had the Creep CD single, then bought The Bends, then Pablo Honey. I stopped buying new stuff from OK Computer on, but The Bends has always stayed on high rotation. I loved spinning this last night, and do wonder why I waited so long to give it a go. I think armadillo01 really nailed it with their comment above about an initial perception of bloat and pomposity. Maybe I should revisit Melancholy and the Infinite Sadness next

    hello there. it's 11 years.

This makes no sense. Why would you pay the Discogs' fees just to "drive up the market value"?? Then there's the risk of sitting on your new highly valued record for an undetermined amount of time until someone buys it. People like that are idiots.

  25. Got my sweet record package today. It's so cool when a label makes rare records available at a great price to us vinyl fanatics. My collection just got a hell of a lot cooler. Thank you Caleb and Deathwish!

  28. I want to see "Standard VC" pics of this from all of y'all who have gotten it, Ya know...better pics than the ones at other places. We have higher standards 'round here. And I will admit that I'm on the disappointed camp regarding the price and the overall packaging and presentation. Esp. being that it's a standard gatefold with two records crammed in each sleeve. That's a letdown.

  40. Complete this collection yesterday. The artist is Hayden, a Canadian mopey folky indie singer/songwriter from Toronto who has flown under the radar for nearly his entire career (seemingly by choice). I'm torn between thinking he has never received the attention he has deserved and thinking he's gotten exactly the attention he has wanted. Everything by the last three LPs are OOP. Each album title is a link to a great jam from each album (albums with multiple pressings feature different songs in each link) The big ones: Everything I Long For - Original press - 1996 Everything I Long For - 20th anniversary reissue on white (1000) - 2016 Everything I Long For - 20th anniversary reissue on teal (500) - 2016 Moving Careful 10" - 1996 The Closer I Get (500) - First vinyl pressing for RSD 2014 Skyscraper National Park - Original press - 2001 Skyscraper National Park - Repress on clear (500) - 2013 (Supposed to be hand numbered, but I bought it off a friend of Hayden's who run's a record shop, and it's apparently an extra from the run so is un-numbered). Elk Lake Serenade - 2004 (somehow bought this in 2015 from discogs, sealed, for $17CAD) In Field & Town - 2008 (After a bunch of digging and googling, I found a US online retailer in 2015 that still had sealed copies in stock and got two copies for $11USD. Pleased) The Place Where We Used To Live - 2009 Us Alone - 2013 Hey Love - 2015 The little ones: Mild and Hazy - 1996. I have two copies., one has a matte glued sleeve while the other has a glossy folded sleeve. I don't believe they are two distinct pressings, but when I saw one was different than what I had I bought it anyway, just because. Lunar Landing Confirmed - 1996. A split with Poledo. Carry on Mentality - 1997. The newest addition and currently my favourite two Hayden songs. Took forever to find this at a reasonable price and luckily someone a few hours away posted it on the 'bay last week and no one else felt like bidding on it. Nowhere We Cannot Go - 2015. All the sleeves are handmade from maps of around the country, no idea about pressing numbers .
